Points : Who is the person – his/her qualities – greatness – how you are influenced – why you have highest respect for him. |
Modern India has produced a galaxy of heroes. Among them the man whom I respect most is Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. He is the glory not only of Bengal but also of India. He sacrificed his life for the sake of his motherland. He was an ardent patriot. He was a relentless fighter. He was an organiser extra-ordinary. He made it a global war against the British – the occupier. He inspired even the Indians living abroad. He enlisted them in his valiant Indian National Army. He raised the level of struggle to a new height. He was a brilliant scholar. He could join the Indian Civil Service and lead a comfortable life. Yet he turned it down. I look upon him as a valiant fighter. I have been greatly influenced by his noble approach of secularism. He brought under the same umbrella all sections of people. He had successfully broken the barriers of caste, creed, community and religion. I have got wider vision from his life and achievements. I have highest regards for him because he taught us to treat man as man leaving aside all other considerations. He preached social for one and all.
